Gift idea for digital musician

I need to make a birthday gift purchase for a family member who is a digital musician. 
The dripping tap with about 3 hours of echo on it type music.
He loves my Strymon timeline and wants a bigsky, but thats a little more than I'd like to spend (unless there is a mega deal on a timeline, bigsky or DIG somewhere).

What else could I get for him ?

This isn't really an area I've got interest in so don't know good / bad.

I did think about that, but I think I'd rather get him something a bit more focussed rather than a little generic like the zooms, but I did look at them.

Yeah, a couple of Valhalla plugins, they are the computer equivalent of the Big Sky. Soundtoys are good too, but maybe a little pricey?
