Custom guitar art/refinishing

I am trying with the idea of getting a guitar refinished with a Sonic the Hedgehog graphic a la the ESP SN-25TH:

Who in the UK can do a pro job on something like this? I know about Sims. Who else is there? I've had my fingers burnt trying to do a refinish on the cheap once before so if I do this I'll get it done properly.

My very first leccy had a hand-painted pic of the rolling stones lips logo on it, the pic itself was very well rendered but had been brushed so was a bit rough to the touch. For the life of me I can't remember the make of the guitar, some kind of dark blue strat copy.

I seriously hope your recommendation is tongue and cheek? This is the chap who sells beaten up Squier teles for £1500.

Think you’ve got a few options;

If it’s a white guitar, get it made as a water slide decal and get it buried in lacquer 

Get a giant sticker made and bury it in lacquer

Find someone who could free hand paint sonic and get it covered in clear

Make a Sonic template to paint into using vinyl (how we did my Monterey Pop Strat).

Try airbrush-art.co.uk and/or just Google “custom motorbike artwork UK”

Thanks all. @stonevibe, love that Kawasaki guitar.

Managed for find an original ESP Sonic for a good price so I've abandoned the refinishing plan for now, but I do love airbrushed designs so it might not be my last foray.

I was thinking about it a few years ago. There were a few stands at a motorbike show at NEC who specialised in custom artwork. FWIW, they all wanted the stripped guitar body only to work on, so the time and price of a set-up post-painting would have to be included in the price (for me anyway).
