Hey you crazy cats!  Here’s another uber-sexy mad bargain for y’all.

Yamaha SA2000, 1979/1980

Wine Red

Vintage model from the late 70s, so no coil taps as with the later ones. 

Original Yamaha pickups - in fact all original as far as I can tell

Ebony fingerboard

Some buckle rash on the back but nothing more than you’d expect for a 38 year old guitar.  A little minor chipping to paint on top of headstock, mild scratching to back of neck, metalwork a wee bit tarnished, again all as you’d expect.

Weight: c. 8.8 lbs / 4 kg

Comes in generic (non original) hard case.

The Code of the Woosters leads me to ask precisely what I paid for it - £700.  No offers at this price, thanks, nor trades, as my greedy fickle eyes have been turned by another and I need to raise some wedge so that I'm not back to sleeping in my car, again.

Would really prefer not to have to post: happy to meet up in central or North London/Herts, or to travel a reasonable distance to meet up.  All things are, however, negotiable...

I've played this quite a bit and it's a really classy guitar,  fantastic build quality and the stock pickups are really nice. If I wasn't trying to work this Kate Moss deal with @rainer2859 i'd be on this like white on rice.

Aaargh. Hate trying to describe necks. One man’s handful is another fellow’s toothpick...

 I’d say it’s no baseball bat but it’s certainly not skinny:  it's one reason this one's for the chop as I am a skinny neck/vintage radius sort of chap and this one is bulkier than I like so doesn't get played much.  It's all so subjective, isn't it?

I’d expect it to be similar to the SA2100 and SA2200: on the thin side of average, with an elliptical profile and 13” radius.

The SA2200 has a fantastic slim neck ! Thinner than the SG's but all these great Yammies have13:75 radii. Pickups probably Alnico V's - and sweet
