Was a Gumtree private sale. The guy had never played it. Still has the original strings on

Nice. What's with the hotter pickups? I'd have a PAF-alike if I couldn't get PAFs.

I like my pups quite hot so I’ll probably pop some Suhr Doug Aldrich in there

I found a couple of stores that had NOS for £1699 so i pounced in it quickly when I saw a case queen at a grand used

Major strip down is underway and I’ve rubbed down the face with micro mesh to tone down that god awful poly finish. 

I really can’t stand my guitars looking like a hard boiled sweet 

Anyway it’s dulled the finish nicely and I’m very pleased with the result

Looks awesome. Take my hat off to you though: I’d never have the stones to take anything abrasive to my sacred LPs.

It works well with some 1500 grit stuck to your cheeks
