I have a '17 PRS CE24 in amber, if that floats your boat for a left-field trade.

@harrisonlg81 I really like the 'faded' finish? Is it easy to do? (and it looks like you did the neck too?)

Yes I forgot to mention I did the back of the neck. Yeah it’s pretty easy. I used some sanding blocks from screwfix which are like a sponge so they can do curved surfaces etc. Takes about 30 minutes.

  • Obviously you need to remove all the hardware. I just dropped the pickups and pots/switch into the cavities. The trick is not to press down on the block just do it lightly and keep checking in it in the light as it’s easy to miss small patches.

I’ve ordered some micro mesh to do the same to my 2016 standard. I cannot stand tacky looking gloss tops

Did the OP do the side of the body and headstock or just the top and back of the neck?

  • Just the top and the back of the neck. I’ve also done the whole of my ‘94 Les Paul Classic Premium Plus and the top on my Lemonburst R8

  • They look great :)

Did you use the fine/medium sponges from screwfix?

Think they’re 120/80 grit. Did they leave swirl marks etc?

    Thanks
