Refret experts: can this Strat be refretted? - update: yes it can!!

    Anyone recommend someone in the midlands?
     
    got a 7.25 radius strat that needs a refret  
     it’s a maple neck with like an inch of poly on so not risking it myself :0

    John at Noiseworks, Coventry.

    He refretted two 'problem' guitars for me - one that had unique artwork on the fingerboard that I'd taken to a few places previously to be told that it couldn't be done without damage/removal of the artwork. John managed it... and did a splendid job.

    We can definitely refret that .
    As ICBM said the bevel at the edges is your problem .We would take care to not lose too much fret top real estate with bevelling.

  • Has now been refretted by @SteveRobinson at Manchester Guitar Tech and a bang tidy job he has done too! Got all my fret "real estate" back and it plays as it should again! :)
