As you know, I am very interested in this kind of thing.

I see a few issues though

    1) linky no worky

    2) I would like the traditional shiny plastic look, although the 3D printer look might work on some more modern styles.   Can this material be sanded smooth and buffed to a shine?   can you make a mould and cast some?   Can you mod some standard P-90 covers to suit?

    3) those bevelled magnets need a bit more consistency

    4)   We need corner holes as an option, for that real 50's look

If you can solve those things I will be well up for a set

    I completely agree with @WezV

The UK market has been crying out for high-quality Staple pickups for ages, so if you get these right you'll sell bucket loads of them. If you don't, it's a bit of a non-starter.

For example, the only option for a new Alnico V Staple pickup with the correct magnet structure is the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, who won't ship CS pickups direct to the UK, you have to order through a distributor. I just did that (although ordered from a CS dealer in the States rather than the UK one) and landed on my doorstep costing just over £250 for one pickup.

I really want you to get these right - and the P90 magnet thing is a great USP as they'll drop into most guitars without modification.

    Try this link

    https://www.alegree.co.uk/collections/p90-sized-pickups

As often happens with links on the forum, all that is missing in the OP is the colon : between the https and the // part of the address.  Try that next time a link doesn't work, it will usually sort it.

I agree with your other points too Wez.

Thanks for making these staples @Alegree , good to see them in production.  Once life settles down I will be ordering too.

    1. fixed
    2. I have no plans to make shiny covers at this time
    4. I can do this to custom order for anyone who desires it.

I'd need the holes in the corners and agree that it's about time we had a proper staple pickup. I'd definitely buy one for a custom style build nothing else looks as good to me

    Nice job though

I can see this is going to be a common request, if you can provide me with the dimensions for standard corner mounting I will add it as an option to these.

Forgive my ignorance, but in the Duncan ones (and presumably the originals) there are screws. Are these to adjust the polepiece (staples) via the springs underneath?

Correct - each 'staple' is individually adjustable by a flat-head screw

They're actually just Gibson's version of a DeArmond Dynasonic pickup.

Yeah, Les was using dynasonics in the neck of his guitars.  Gibson designed this version so they could get around the Patents.

For me, the adjustability of the magnets is an obvious feature to drop from the design.  The Seymour Duncan version costs a bomb, and I am fairly sure a large part of that is the adjustability that most will never touch and can potentially add  microphonics
