I did very badly (in my opinion) whereas our drummer(!) scored better than 95% of people.

Just finished doing that one - I got 1.065hz, better than 96.2%.  Not too bad, I'll try again later once I've absorbed more coffee and I'm actually awake.  )

seriously though.. aural perception is something you can get better at..

one of my students [when we started working on scales] could not hear when he was fingering a scale incorrectly..

now… 6 months later he can..
