If you have it wired correctly it will work on all 3 pickups

Sorry, do you mean series wiring?

Surely that could only possible work when more than one pickup is active?

Has anyone said Rothwell Hot Little Knob yet?

It's a replacement middle tone with a Push-pull that gives you "bridge+middle in series" with the pot acting as an additional filter. Not quite a normal humbucker sound, but a nice addition to fatten a Strat, and keeps everything totally stock when disengaged.

Add baseplates to the pickups and add something like an EP Boost or Graphic pedal
Yep.  Baseplates.  It won’t make it sound like a humbucker.  It will push the single coil sound in that direction

    Wisdom awarded.

Eldest son has one on his Haar and it’s a very usable, unobtrusive alternative to making holes in an otherwise perfectly good Stratocaster. I really must get one for mine some time...
Don't ask me, I just play the damned thing...

I never understood that. He quit playing Gibsons (IIRC he didn't quit with the LP it got stolen but then went on to an SG or a 335), then decided the Strats he was using didn't sound right, so invents a circuit which attempts to make a Strat sound more Gibson-ish. Why not go back to a Gibson?
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

That's what everyone wonders. He did his JJ Cale phase but after that....

I don't think all of Clapton's stuff sounds gibson-like, am I mis remembering? It's been a few weeks since I listened to him

Maybe because he preferred the feel of the Strat...
