I would rather have one guitar I love playing than a few i like playing.  Buy the best guitar for you for now and worry about the future needs later on. Musical styles and guitar taste change over the years and what you think is a keeper now may not be.

Cool can't beat a good Tele and the baja' is a great model

I say tele or 335 types.  For me I'd find best local dealer with large stock of new and s/h and spend a day if you have to playing as many as you can.... Try and play how you usually would (ie sitting/standing etc) and see which guitar, model, make etc fits your style and body best.  

You may end up surprised

If I can't stop myself buying another guitar I think that will be the one (or the other candidate is a Godin electro-nylon)

Encourage you to try a quality semi with coli tapped humbuckers with an attractive price point such as the Yamaha SA2200.
