Question Time: One or two pedals to do the same thing?

Ok, so this sounds mental, but! I have been hearing the Deco Strymon and think it fits perfectly in what I want, however I know that it is quite a particular sound and affects the sound on & off, but I'm wondering if I could get this by using say an Echoplex preamp and another delay for the slap back, which would be the main delay thing I'm after. I know that it's not exactly the same but it might get pretty close.

You geniuses thoughts?

Always get the thing you actually want even if it means waiting. Anything else usually just delays you from getting what you really want at an added cost
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
