Fender Roadhouse Mex Delux Strat?

Anyone play one of these, one has come up at a fairly decent price, its a 2015 model, its kind of a yellowish cream, never seen one like it, did they come in yellowish cream?

I played one for ages when I was in a shop demoing pedals recently. It was a 2017 model in flashy brown. I thought I'd hate the noiseless pickups, but for that type of guitar - something a bar band or session guy might play - they were fine. Not too bright nor thin, very versatile. Liked the neck profile and narrowish frets. The preamp is actually useful, but there isn't enough difference between the six settings. It'd be great if it had a really full-on drive setting.

Do they do Strat sounds well or are they a compramise?

Yes, it absolutely sounds like a strat. More so with the preamp off, obviously.
