NGD (midlife crisis content)
Getting a proper 80’s style fun-machine has been a want for a little while, it can only be a mid life crisis that is causing this - have been looking at Charvel Pro Mods, EVH Striped series, and the reissue Ibanez RG550. All look great but I can’t get past that blasted locking trem, hate the things.
So for the same price bracket I put together this; Warmoth body in Neon Purple (artificial light photos don’t do it justice); Warmoth slim C roasted maple neck with compound radius, every bit of hardware is Gotoh (including locking tuners and Wilkinson designed trem), SD Custom Custom pickup. Have it strung up and playing well, need to do detailed set up once settled and get it wired up (ordered the wrong pot shaft length, doh!) Light as a feather too. Think this will be fun!

Looks really good, great colour.
The trick with the Warmoth stuff is that rather than spec from scratch (which would of cost considerably more), the body and neck were both ready to go from the showcase, albeit I could specify the pickup and trem route on the body and the frets on the neck.
Feels like a great quality machine for the money - although probably has a resell of £2.50!
