Is there an FX pedal that can do vibe/chorus/phaser/tremolo all-in-one?

I've literally never had a need to do more than mess around with one of these sounds from time to time and I've found it a big waste to have for example, the otherwise stellar MXR Phase 95 on my board when it only gets used very infrequently. Is there something that can do all four? As different permutations of wet/dry and delay modulation it seems not outside the realms of possibility!

  • If you're not aversed to digital effects then the Zoom MS50G or MS70CDR is your best bet.

I was thinking Line6 M5 - they often come up for sale here second hand.

I'm just wondering, are you trying to save money or space?  Or both?  Generally speaking I would have thought the issue is whether you can successfully select the specific effect you want when you're using a compact solution live?  If money were no object The Helix HX or Eventide H9 would give you hours of fun.

Do you mean all four individually, or all four at once?
    I think, therefore.... I... ummmm........

If you mean all at once then the Zoom multistomps (MS-50, MS-70, G3 etc) will do that and they are perfectly decent effects (but can be awkward in a live environment) or the Helix HX if money is no object. If you mean one sound at once then the Line 6 M5 can be had cheap or the Strymon Mobius has amazing flexibility in its parameters if you have money to spend. Also see the Eventide H9 as a Mobius alternative although I've never actually used one.

The smaller Source Audio boxes such as the Gemini chorus have interchangeable sounds apparently and you can set three sounds up on the small switch on any one of them I believe so you may not get all those but a lot of flexibility certainly

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are thinking of, but it would give you a taste of all of these and is a brilliant pedal; Keeley Vibe O Verb.

It all works within a reverb context, but each effect can be pushed forward and pulled back with a quick twiddle. Work a look and it's a very good price it if does the job you need.

Another +1 for the Zoom MS-70CDR especially with the free firmware update, which gives you fx from the MS-50G

The Keeley mod and super mod workstations.

They also did ( still do?) the Orbital which is a multi modulation pedal.

There are some quite cheap multi mod pedals pedals as well such as the Nux Mod Core and  Mooer Mod Factory and Mod Factory Pro.

The TC Electronic Nova Modulator does this.

Two separate sides, each can be any of a wide range of modulation sounds at the same time. Sync or desync the LFOs, and you can save presets (though switching betwixt them is a little clunky).

Not trem but the Marshall Regenerator RG1 does six adjustable modes - chorus, M chorus, flanger, phaser, step phaser and uni vibe. You can also link it to an expression pedal and set it to spill over or not to spill. Built like a tank too.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

Zoom Multistomp series - pretty well any of 'em. The MS-100BT and MS70CDR are stereo and the MS-50g is mono. The 70 doesn't feature amp and cab modelling like the others.

    I must have a special MS-50G then with L and R outputs :)

That Mooer mod factory pro looked pretty good when I was looking for something like this - never ended up with anything though! Sounds good in the demos and it has 4 storable presets.

I'm not a massive fan of the Helix Chorus or Phasers tbh, they are okay but not amazing, so it would probably be overkill.

I'd go for a zoom unit, the G3 would be a good choice.

Apologies- I meant that the MS50g doesn't have stereo IN whereas the other 2 do. All have stereo out.
