Jack Edwards of Piston tries out the Spectrumaxe MK4

I met with Jack Edwards and Luke Allatt of hard rock band "Piston", at Essex Recording Studios on Monday. Jack tried out the MK4 Spectrumaxe and was very impressed - said he would like to play one for a couple of numbers on the band's next tour! Thanks again to Keith Gannon of Essex Recording Studios for the video footage.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Yep - has a thread in Made in the U.K. and fully declared as the business owner.

That wasn't my intention. This posting is chiefly about a guitar, a band and a young, but very accomplished guitarist, who I met at a recording studio. If I had wanted to use the opportunity to plug Spectrumaxe as a company, I would have posted up the website address and probably some other blurb. In any event, I set up Spectrumaxe to be a "not for profit" company, to provide services and new innovations to the music industry. I'm an inventor, not a capitalist. However if I've annoyed anyone by posting this up under the wrong category, then I'll happily move it or remove it (if I'm able to).
