Help with Washburn USA Mercury Truss Rod

Hi 

Just bought a Washburn USA Mercury MG92 off eBay and the truss rod doesnt seem to adjust.  There's a TRC on the headstock but cant for the life of me see what's inside, there is also a flat head screw at the heel that just rotates.  It looks like the truss rod may come out all-together if I continue to turn anti-clockwise, and turning clockwise does nothing, it just rotates.

The guitar has a few issues other than this as well, but is potentially a beaut if I can get this sorted

Anyone had one of these?  Any ideas?

Yep that’s the chap, it’s currently doing duty as part of the Thornton Amplifiers demo rig, might have to get it back !

Five in total including this new US one that's going back which is a real shame.  Only have one that I've kept long term, a Sammy Hagar model, bit like a Charvel San Dimas.  Sold another one here, one with a wilkinson trem as I like the Floyd yd models better, but wish I'd kept that one too
