Recycling or reusing cd jewel cases?

What's Hot
I’ve wasted about 30 mins failing to come up with google searches that aren’t out of date on how to keep my old cd jewel cases out of landfill.

I have about one thousand of the damn things (CDs all went onto spindles for storage).

Anyone got ideas? I expect I’ll have to pay to send them to a specialist facility but if there are better ideas please let me know.

Thanks!

    How interesting!

I work for hmv and we literally must use tens of thousands (company wide) of empty jewel cases as ‘blockers’ to, well block displays out!

I wonder if you contacted your local store (if you have one), if they’re anything like our store we’re always in need of them!

Take them to a (or several) charity shop(s). They often need replacements for the many broken cases on donated CDs, and even if they don't want to do that themselves they can sell the spare cases to people like me who buy a lot of CDs from the same shops and want to replace the covers!

  • Couple of great ideas there, ta!

@skunkwerx there are a couple of HMVs around town so next time I wander by I’ll stop in and ask.

The danger will be ending up with more CDs !
