Fx unit that can change amp channell

Does anybody know of an Fx unit that can change chanells of your amp like the G system ...looking for something a little more portable ...

Boss Gt8 will change amp channels.  Probably not that much smaller than a G system though.

Does the amp have a footpedal socket ? If so, you need to establish if it needs a latching or non-latching pedal - shouldn't cost more than £50 either way I'd say.

Yeah it's a midi lead but midi switching...I have a foot switch for it but was wanting the option of the one switch to change channel as well as adding fx

I use my gsp1101 and it switches my groove tube trio midi preamp.  If amp doesn't have midi you need a midi to 1/4" unit like the old nux one or others on market.  Then any multifx with midi out can switch any amp

Alternatively you could use an ABY pedal with 2 leads coming out of it?

FX8 and Helix both do channel switching. I didn't use midi either but I believe you can do it that way too

My dad built a break out box for me ..it uses the midi cable from the redplate to Jack plugs to the G system ...it works great but I have the brain in a flight case with a couple of pedals in th G loop..and then the G system switcher ...so looking for something a bit smaller for smaller bookings ...plus I'm not to sure about the reliability of the G system and it crashing

Yeah will check it out..it's really just Fx I need though I'm happy with amp drive
