Since this is a guitar forum, how about sticking bags filled with your drink of choice in an acoustic guitar, plug the sound hole with a feedback blocker and carry it in for a "singalong" or to "get it signed"?

Personally, I don't think I'd go to a festival that was so restrictive.

Next festivals I’m off to are the Lincoln Beer Festival, the Newark Beer Festival and the Great British Beer Festival. Getting beer will not be an issue.

See how much you can sneak in anyway. Everyone stood there with their fancy "real ales", and you with your can of "galahad" from aldi.

This may be the way around it!!

I don’t think I’d go to a festival that you needed to drink £200’s worth of booze to enjoy ;-)

A very busty friend of mine smuggled 3 litres of vodka and coke into a gig between her boobies. It was beautiful, man.
I'm just a Maserati in a world of Kias.

Going to QOTSA today and the list of stuff you can or can not bring in is insane:
New for 2018: You are not permitted to bring soft drinks or water into the festival. You are permitted to bring empty bottles sized 500ml or less to use at water refill points inside the festival.

    What to bring

        Your ticket
Your Oyster, contactless card or travelcard
Clothes for any weather eventuality - hat, sunglasses, rainwear, warm clothing
        Sunscreen (100ml or less)
Bring enough cash and/or your card (somewhere to keep it safe) – we have many cash machines on site, all which accept all UK debit cards. Some of the machines will also accept international credit cards. We also have trained engineers on site to manage these machines – please ask for assistance if required. A fee will be charged to use the machines
Bring ID if you look under 21 in order to be admitted to the festival. You will also need ID if you want to buy alcohol and look 21 or under
Medication – if you need to bring medication, we recommend bringing a doctor’s note or a prescription for it. Please be understanding if we question what you're bringing in as it is important to prevent drugs being brought into the festival
Photographic equipment is permitted provided that it is for personal non-commercial use only
Remember to tell your friends of any allergies you have
Check out the latest weather before you leave for the even

        Cooking apparatus
        Cool bags / boxes (large)
Cigarettes (more than for personal use)
        Cutlery
