Arrived today from Ireland (from the excellent Some Neck Guitars in Dublin, great shop if you're ever there - spent a really enjoyable afternoon there few weekends ago).
Despite the best efforts of DPD (who told me I'd requested a delivery on Monday, when I hadn't - they just hadn't put it on the van, and who firstly hung up on me when I asked to speak to the depot and secondly when I called back told me I'd already signed for it - when in fact they were referring to some protein powder delivered 9/5!) - I got it!
Excuse the picture quality but I've been playing it!
This is a 1967 ES-330, all original apart from two tiny holes where some idiot screwed in a midi pickup (why, oh why????) and a recently (and very well done) refret.
Plays very nicely, transition neck in terms of width and the P90s are lush, especially with a tiny bit of drive.
Thanks for all for the advice.

Have you ever played an Epi casino? How does this compare (or not?!)
Why would anyone put a synth pickup on it? It’s not just completely idiotic from a vintage value viewpoint, it’s a very bad choice of guitar for that purpose because the overtones from the hollow body will very likely interfere with the tracking.
That Einstein quote seems appropriate again...

Of all the guitars to stock a GK2 pick up on I would pick a 330 last - why indeed - Not just because it is vintage, just not logical to put a modern hi-tech pick-up on a vintage designed instrument
Enjoy it
Congrats, you’re gonna love it.
Enjoy!
That would have been good for you and bad for me!
And you're all right - I have no idea about the Midi pickup, literally words fail me on every level!
Really well laid out with two demo areas and a really comfy sofa
Owen is a top guy, even pushing me away from a purchase which he didn't feel was the right one for me - proper old school in a good way.
And a great stock level - played three CC Gibsons on top of all the old stuff.
Was trying to persuade him to move to London!
There are planets which are lighter than that!
I have, but only one of the modern (Chinese made?) ones.
I think comparing vintage to vintage - from what I've heard very little difference, basically the same guitar.
Comparing the modern to this one isn't really fair - there's a massive price difference.
(But I hear the difference and it's enough to justify the price )
I hate to say this but you now own *two* of my favourite guitars...

Agree on the filling, but doesn't bother me and don't want to run the risk it looks 'altered'
Looks fantastic, ‘67 is my birth year and I love it !!
