Spring Clean - are old string recyclable

Almost two minutes later and its still Spring Clean weekend here at the Fortress of Solitude... Jesus this is hard work?

Question in the title on this one - can I put old string into recycling?

I believe they are. I coil them up into old baked bean cans and stick them out for collection with everything else.

Yep. I collect all my strings, old screws, and nefarious bits of metal, and drop them off at the refuse recycling centre once or twice a year.
