Belated NGD

I've been meaning to scratch the Reverend itch for a while now, so I picked this up. A week in and I’m really impressed, the build is near flawless, the fret job is excellent, and it stays in tune! The first for me on a set neck/ 3 aside guitar. Just feels great to hold and play, especially at under 7 lbs in weight. And I’m a self confessed snob when it comes to most far eastern guitars.

Haven't had chance to experiment much plugged in yet, but the basics are all there, the bass roll off control is very effective, may find that dreaded output jack cap and snip it off as it did overall lack a bit of cut you’d expect from this type of guitar, but then it can be cured somewhat with the bass roll off.

Needs a chrome P90 cover I reckon.

That's a nice looking guitar and it's the first Reverend I've seen with a single pickup P90. I like the binding.
    Enjoy!

That’s a lovely looking guitar. Don’t take this the wrong way, but, to me, it has a Yamaha Revstar aesthetic about it. (I love Yamaha guitars)

Very nice. Reverand have somehow got the 'inspired by the classics but something different' look nailed. Thats classy as.

Yes, but it's the other way around: The Revstar has something of the Sensei aesthetic about it. In fact, I'd say it's far closer to Reverend's style that to the old Yamaha SF models that had a similar-ish double cut body. I've always been a big fan of Yamaha, but I have to say I prefer the Sensei's look to the Revstar (even that name seems to hint at the source of inspiration).

And Reverend's bass contour is so useful, I wish I had it on all my guitars. Enjoy you're NGD :)
