I bought an SG1802 Goldtop from Guitarguitar last year when they had a few at half price - hard to resist as it was below secondhand values. I had an SG700 in the 80s, and I've always like the model. The 1802 is amazingly well made, and sounds wonderful. A bit on the heavy side though...

Nice looking, well made, bloddy heavy, smooth sound lacking in bite - that's my recollection of the SG2000.

Always loved the SG range. I find I like the SG1000 better because of the set neck construction. More Les Paulish.
I also have the SG1820 which loses the bling and is essentially a double cut LP. That one is very like my LP and has a great neck.
I am drooling over the SG 3000's that are mentioned in this thread. One day!
