I've recently discovered Toots and The Maytals….

Given you a Wow for that, one of my favourite ever songs. The quality control with Toots wasn’t always that strong but 54-46 is killer stuff. Funky Kingston is the other obvious one.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

Yeah, funny I’ve only just discovered them, must have slipped me by somehow.   Ironically I’ve ben listening to Ernest Ranglin’s version for years and never thought about the songs origin. Happy, uplifting music.

Eus Keus by Gwenno. Which means is there cheese in Cornish. Yes, Cornish. Cornish in a Welsh accent in a psychedelic kraut rock indie style has never sounded so good. Driving bass line, washed out modulated keys and guitar, builds up to a stonking outro.
