Yeah the Special has a satin finished neck both front and back, plus its slimmer than the chunky Baja neck.  The Special also has very big jumbo frets, way more so than the Bajas medium jumbo. Oh and the Baja is narrower at the nut. 
I preferred the satin to the drag of poly which the Baja is finished in, but those Special frets are like railway sleepers. Try before you buy.
