Photographs of Gruff Rhys doing the scribbling on the guitar might have helped with the provenance. You know how obsessive guitar collectors, traders and hoarders can be about that sort of thing.

No - I'm just affirming that an obsessive attention to 'provenance' isn't something which figures highly with me when acquiring new tat interesting stuff.

Absolutely love SFA, my other half at the time interviewed them for the student newspaper many years ago - the astronauts on the space station weren’t as high as they were. It’d have more interest to me if it had actually been used in Super Furry Animals, but it’s still an interesting piece of memorabilia for those of us with fond memories of the 90’s. But that’s all it really is, memorabilia - and priced accordingly. I bet it sells, but to a fan rather than a guitarist.
