I prefer to avoid all ambiguity and use the term "flamboyant horse"

Er... I think you'll find the majority are actually Notts County fans...

I bought a few Black Country T Shirts at one point and my oldest son had one with Z is for Stripey Oss, the other had B is for Nana.
Mine was Halesowen - Not Just an Asda.

    I've always said Zeebra.

My infants school teacher used to say it and it stuck with me.

I don't say Zed Zed Topp either.  ;)

    Depends on context.

If it's the stripey animal it's zeb.ra however I work in thermal barcode printing, so if it's the American printer manufacturer it's zeeeebra because there stupid yanks and pronounce it that way.
    I gave a you a lol.

  • I refer to the band as Zee Zee Top but that's only because they're American so don't know any better. For anything else it has to be pronounced zed, not zee. As I am British and therefore part of the civilised world, I am right and the American 'zee' is clearly wrong, but of course they are increasingly not part of the civilised world. This post brings up another annoyance and that's computers. I'm typing this and it keeps telling me that 'civilised' is spelt incorrectly because I'm using an 's' instead of a 'z' but of course the computer is using the incorrect American English (if you can call it English) while I'm using the entirely correct British English.
