Looking for a cheap superstrat

What's Hot

I've been looking at the @peachguitarsdotcom website for a new guitar with a fixed bridge. Don't really want (and can't afford) to spend much on it, but I want something decent that isn't going to let me down if I start gigging again. Without going in to have a try I'm thinking Ibanez RGRT421 or RGA42/RGA421... Anyone got any thoughts about anything around the same price point I could look at as well?
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

    New or pre-owned?

Not fussy tbh... I started looking through eBay though and kind of gave up, there's so much shit out there :D

For the money I reckon a Yam Pacifica or an ibanez will get you what you want in spades and a ltd won’t give you much more at the low price points..

I've had my yamaha RGX121D (a slightly more agressive Pacifica with twin HBs and a SC) for over 20 years now, it's a super guitar for the money.

    Now called the RGX121Z iirc

    Ltd’s will be built solidly.

I’m a big Ltd fan, but they are self confessed not the cheapest.
The build quality is good and the hardware ok, though I’m not sure on sub £400 models for example, but the lh150 buckers are alright, and esp own tuners I’ve had seem to be fine.

But Ibanez, something like this Rg https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/180108320415008--ibanez-rgrt421-wnf-walnut-flat
has a thru neck for £345.

Cheaper are the s521 Mol types. Think theyre like £290 odd.

    The Rg241’s about £250
The only easy day, was yesterday...

Cort X series. An X6-HT was my main gigging guitar for years, currently own an X16-LTD which is easily comparable to ibanez prestige (my avatar pic)

@sweepy Sorry dude, but I definitely want a neck humbucker.
Couple of good suggestions there though, I'll do some investigation. Thank you chaps!
@skunkwerx, that RG is the front-runner at the moment based on looking at the Peach Guitars website. I do love a reverse headstock!

Kramer Barretta Special - got one for next to nothing and it’s seriously impressive, especially with a pickup swap.

    My trading feedback

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?
