Nice video, it was interesting hearing the story behind the pedals rather than just a demo.

As an aside, I much prefer the look, angle and sound of the old TPS studio to the new one...

Right, now to watch the video...

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • I bought a pedal (Warthog) from him at the Bristol Guitar Show earlier this year.

A nice chap and ended up chatting about powerlifting as much as music :)

Who cares? TPS wasn't the first YT studio to put wood on the walls and they won't be the last.

Anyway, I'm more interested in the content, not the decor.

I actually felt the same about the guy doing the interview - i felt like he kept interrupting Thorpy during some answers then completely changed the subject and moved in another direction from where the conversation was actually going

  • Indeed he does.

    I have 4 of Thiorpy’s pedals:

    The Fat General compressor
    The Peacekeeper low gain overdrive
    The Gunshot overdrive
    The Fallout Cloud fuzz.

All are exceedingky awesome pedals. All I’d recommend now.

I still haven't tried any. Gunshot highest on the list, I think.

Though the knob position puts me off a smidge - I seem to be the only person who likes to change pedal settings with my feet!

If you're just down the road, I can pop by with a few of my ThorpyFX pedals...including my Veteran which was a game changer for me!
