5E3 Boost

Just wondering what pedal 5E3 owners use to boost their amp into breakup? Is a boost preferential over an OD for an amp with a 5E3 circuit?

I use a Way Huge Overrated Special and it works well. 

I have also also had good results with a Klon clone.

Lovely pedal.  Joyo Sweet Baby is a great budget alternative. 

I’m a big fan of the Timmy, and Tim OD pedals.

I also get great results with a Simble Pre Driver (set hot), and clean or treble boost.

Durham Sex Deive is also a fab pedal. Shame mine is dead....

I'm on the same search. My Timmy doesn't do it for me with a 5e3. Looking to try Microamp+ and OCD. Fuzzfaces work great with 5e3. I don't like mid-boost pedals (TS, Klon) because 5e3 has enough mids already

I like the TS. I cuts some of the flubby bass. Another pedal I like a lot is the Caline Orange Burst. Similar to the TS but has a bass control and more gain.

I use a Dinosaural Tone bender but you can't get them now. Unless someone is selling one on here etc. Cruiser is great of course but not much of an EQ on it

I used a Wahy Huge Saucy Box (klon-ish) to great effect* with my tweed cornell romany plus for a couple of years.... it’s also for sale

I've used a 5e3 for years now.  My favourite boost is something like a Beano boost but only if you can crank the amp a touch.  I have several fuzz faces that sound good through it as well.  The classic boost to use through a deluxe Is a bad Bob but never tried one yet!

I've got a Beano Boost, Bad Bob and several fuzz face type pedals... but no 5e3.
