    I was there. In bands, in 70s ( i was 16)  Everybody had an hh pa amp. Normally with carlsbro cabs. If they were posh they has massive flared horn bins too.— and the accompanying hernia
     . V S stand for Valve sound . It was hh ‘s effort to see off the ‘ sounds cold ‘ accusation of non vs hh guitars amps. . All hh anps looked great on a stage 
    The vs thing sounded pretty good . 
     The non vs guitar amps sounded cold cold cold. 
    Knowing all this makes me feel old.

    Yep, I had two VS Musician Combos, Stuart Adamson used them in the Skids I believe.

    I know where his - or one of them - is... at a recording studio near Edinburgh. I've played through it, it did have something of his sound about it!
