6G Beam Internet,,,,anyone using it ?

The 6G name is just the brand, this is basically a router that has a 4g cobbection rather than a fibre one.

Not sure if it's the same as I've got or not. Mine was described as microwave broadband but reading a bit in the site it sounds a similar set up - a dish/receiver on the side of the house which gets the signal from an access point.

Mine has been great. I'm in a rural area and the best speed I could get from BT was 2Mb. The new system gets up to 30Mb.

If you've got the option of a wired service that gets similar speeds I think that would still be the better choice but if you're in an area that otherwise doesn't get super fast broadband then these solutions are well worth considering and seem to be cropping up all over the country now.

What service provider does that then? We are in the deepest depths of rural Suffolk and our connection is Victorian.

Mine's with Derbyshire broadband. I think I found someone offering a similar service around your area when ttony was having trouble with his internet.  I'll have a look later to see if I can find them again.
