I put one on my beloved SG, as use trem all time on Jazzmasters etc. I hated it as I couldn't get to or see the controls. But it held tuning very well and the change in tone wasn't unmusical.

Again that would be an issue as I do use my controls a lot.  

However other players seem to manage, I'm sure I could learn.
