Happy to trade on either or both combined, really fancy a R9 or R8 or maybe a nice 335
For info http://xhefriguitars.com/page2.html
Ok first up is a 1987 E serial Strat plus in ultra rare Razzberry, complete with original hardcase and paperwork.
This guitar is totally original, with original lace sensor pick ups
Has 2 lines in the finish from the bridge to the bottom and 1 line in the finish on the back along the upper body, these are very strange, not through the finish and can only be seen at certain angles.
Other than the lines in the finsh pretty much mint for a 30 year old guitar, no fret wear
One for the collectors £1500 £1200    £1050

Next up the the remarkably similar 1989 E serial Strat plus in ultra rare Torino Red, complete with original hardcase and paperwork.
This guitar is totally original, with original lace sensor pick ups.
Pretty much mint for a 30 year old guitar, no fret wear
Another one for the collectors £1500  £1350   £1150

    No big deal, but isn't E4 = 1984 not 87?

I had one of these new in about 87 - I’d recently left school.
mine was Black with 3x gold lace sensors - some of the best Strats Fender ever made

A few of the very early Strat plus’s had E4 serial numbers. I think they used some left over necks that were in the factory. It’s well documented.

Yep they were just using up leftover Fullerton serial numbers. Hence you never see an E5 or E6 USA serials.

correct to a degree regarding serial numbers - The Strat Plus was a new model with a new neck but they had plenty of E4 serial number decals left over - remember during this era Bill Schulz (Fender CEO) had closed down the USA facility and they did not open up in Corona until late 1985 with the vintage reissues shipped from 1986 (different serial number system anyway) - The Strat Plus was one of the first new models from this facility but they had plenty of old E4 serial number decals left over, so whilst waiting for new updated decals to arrive they utilised old numbers - By the time we get to 1988 and E8, everything was back on course - As far as I know no E7 numbers appear anywhere on a USA Fender

Ok, had a chat and an appraisal from Jeff at Xhefri's on both Guitars, seems i am a bit optimistic on my asking price on the Razzberry and the cracks, Ive dropped the price on this to his valuation of £1200
He valued the Torino at £1350 as this is mint but is not as rare as the Razzberry so price is dropped to this
