Because it's a great rosewood close to braz but won't look right on a light aged tv yellow finish

If you look at the one i recently did you'll see what i mean, it has a nice cocobolo fretboard from the same chunk i had cut up

LP builds in progress, necks fitted and tapered now building boards ready for gluing on the neck, they get built on the neck

Thanks Tony,  i found a sort of tele I'd like to make, it's based on an old epiphone, it's a double cut and set neck, right up my street

It is indeed, lovely guitar

I wasn't thinking real replica i just really like those old epiphones so thought i might use my headstock and use the tele body outline, i fancy a pair of filtertrons, no idea about controls etc yet but I've got loads to do first before i even think about this

 I'd love to try one some day

Thanks can't wait to get this faded and aged, I'm going a bit more aged than I'd normally do if i can get it heavily faded out on the browner side if my mix was good

Looks really good @customkits - Really enjoying following this thread. I love the tops you use, Im a big fan of the fleck in the maple.

Thanks you'll never see a perfect bookmatch top, i rarely bookmatch anyway, love mineral streaks too

  Fretted now, just needs a fret level and nut to set it up, lovely light weight honduran mahogany, pickguard courtesy of Neil at ivison guitars

You won't see it when it's aged, nice to know it's under it though, it's great rosewood
