NGD 1996 Les Paul Std stripped! Now refin'd

Hi Y'all,

Pick up a surprise beauty today. I always liked the ideal of an authentic used guitar with some history which lead me to this. She has been well used and at some point had all of the original finish removed and the wood polished. But she plays like a dream and sounds even better when plugged in. Was thinking of getting a re fin but seeing her in the flesh I think i might just keep her as is!

Is that a one piece back?  It looks really nice especially out of the case in natural light.

Looking at the headstock shape and silkscreen font/ logo, also the binding looks thin on the fretboard, could that be an early reissue of some sort? Very nice whatever it is.

Great looking guitar. I’d leave it as it is if was mine, was the body oiled before polishing? I’ve got a swamp ash stripped Telecaster which I oiled with Tru Oil and polished and it looks fantastic to me.

I honestly have no idea, think it was done a couple of owners previous. The stripped look is really growing on me
