About time :) I wonder if you can only save the one favourite preset though ?

Theres a video on their site and it actually looks quite impressive. Of course their midi cable will cost quite a bit :)

Yeah I'd love more presets on my El Cap. It's on my second board atm and every time I go to use it I've forgotten how it works! Not ideal on a busy stage

If my El Cap was midi enabled I would've never sold  :(. Loved that pedal otherwise

nice. I guess they wanted the pedal out whilst they developed the midi implementation - keeps them up with Chase Bliss, Empress and Meris with midi via EXP. Would be nice if the same midi boxes can be used, hope they haven't done something different.

Also, I assume this was not in the older pedals, otherwise I think we'd have seen it buy now.

  • Would have been nice on the dig and el cap too. Strymon are so slow to realise this stuff!

That is super clever.    If I was running a midi loop switcher I’d buy a sunset now.

I'm gonna hold out until they bring out their compilation fx board. I'm sure it's coming  ;) Or hoping it's coming :)

I suspect that leaving midi out of the first pedals was a design / feature choice; midi just wasn't enough of a thing when those pedals launched, but now there are lots of switchers with it well implemented and people have bought into the chase bliss / empress / meris concept. Strymon have realized that their competitors have better spec pedals now, which makes keeping the feature away from the range to make a bigger step to the timeline/big sky etc less appealing. at the price point, it's almost expected.

I wonder if they will release new versions of the el cap, dig, flint etc.

Will definitely need to release Version 2 of those pedals - they’ve stated only the drive pedals use the new hardware necessary for the Midi via TRS capability
    Karma......

So I take it you still won't be able to save more than one preset using midi? One can use midi though to control certain parameters of the pedal etc?

    agreed,

two is great for a cleanish and an atmospheric. but just a few more could get a slapback and a OTT one again, and make the looper functional without having the bend over and change

dont bother to order to UK  - they wont honour it - had a seriously poor experience over last day or so ...  world class products / 3rd world customer service ...

anyone any idea what the midi pin to jack config is - suggest getting a UK cable co to custom build
