Yep, into the 80s.

I had a 1980 that wasn’t - IIRC it was a transitional year.

Edit: a quick Google search suggests 1977 was the year non-pancakes were reintroduced.

My 1978 isn’t a pancake body model but I’d not be surprised if a few later deluxes were. It seems that things could be a bit chaotic at times and it’s not beyond belief that older batches of body’s were used after that date.

Many are, some aren’t. There doesn’t seem to be any correlation with whether they’re good guitars or not.
