These amps do of course live up to their reputation; docile yet toneful enough to use and enjoy in the house, then - bang - turn up to 5 or so, and you have the wonderful organic giggable overdrive that so many players in different genres have enthused over for decades.  This amp is an excellent example of a 1978 silverface DR, with a 240v Hammond power transformer (and the original Sonny's Guitar Shop sticker on the back panel); this really is about the cleanest example I've seen (and I looked for a long time), without being freakishly immaculate (or Alan Baxter-expensive).  Original footswitch too!

The amp is currently fitted with an Eminence Legend EM12, which is essentially an EVM-12L in modern clothes; however, the original Fender blue speaker is included in the price and works perfectly (it's also a lot lighter than the Emi, as you'd expect).  The EM12 gives more clean headroom, but at 6 or so on the dial really gives the good stuff; best of both worlds, I'd say. 

I will also include the original 110v transformer and step up unit for the completists out there - plus a super padded cover which fits perfectly.  The reverb and trem do all they're meant to do, and after having owned and played quite a few silverface Fenders (of various sizes), I have to say this DR overall is really special.  I have now added HD guts shots to show how sweetly original the internal chassis is.

I'm in central London, and would prefer cash on collection; I will also drive 75 miles or so in any direction (no petrol money toll applies) to meet up.
