eBay woes and a warning for sellers

Just a quick warning to those who might be as inattentive as I, I recently sold a pedal on eBay which was listed under the max £1 selling fee offer (the only way I ever use eBay now) just over a month ago. The listing duration (unbeknownst to me - it was the automatically selected option) was 'good 'til cancelled' so I thought nothing of the listing remaining up.

As it turns out though, the selling fee offer only lasts for a 30 day period, so I just got landed with an unexpected £40 fee for my pedal that sold 32 days after listing. Obviously bad luck and stupidity on my part, but just thought I'd point this out in case some folks didn't know.

Yes, and some offers only relate to the 2 or 3 day selling period in question.

I got stung by that recently on some hifi kit to the tune of £140 :-o a lesson to learn once only!

Thanks for the timely heads up. I just listed under the £1 for 30days deal, so will be sure to cancel if theres no interest...
