Popped into my local guitar tech's workshop/2nd hand guitar shop yesterday afternoon, as I needed a new set of acoustic strings pronto.

Got chatting about guitars (as you do) and if he'd had anything interesting in stock recently. He then goes into his office and pulls out this...

He quoted me a price of £2450, which I'm sadly about £2400 short of being able to afford at the minute. So yeah, anyone fancy buying a kidney/leg/eyeball/testicle?

If you're near the docks then you could make £2k easily next time a big ship pulls in.  Plus it'll stop you sitting down when playing that guitar.

Yeah, looked pretty flimsy but apparently is surprisingly adjustable and the intonation seemed decent. Definitely unusual though, not sure how it would stand up to a good thrashing on a gig. I'm guessing there's a good reason they re-engineered things after '52...

Goldtops are lush, the slightly satiny feel, the way they age grace fully and look better with some wear.

For a kidney, would you accept £2000, PPG, and what couriers would you recommend for sending internal organs in the post? It's just I'd rather not arrange that, as I prefer to meet the donor in person, and I'd like to try the kidney out first.
