EQ/Buffer Pedal Recommendation

I'm looking for an EQ pedal to leave atop my amp to help add clarity in the top-end and remove some of the more harsh midrange frequencies my little Audio Kitchen amp has with certain guitars. It would be great if it had an excellent buffered signal as well to help drive the signal to my amp. Anyone have any favourites they like to use for similar applications?
