That's a different bridge pickup in there than you get in the two pickup version - it's hotter and growlier

The hotter lollar bridge is the way to go from what I’ve read elsewhere.

Just ordered a set of Wolfetones Mean and meaner set. They have 20% of this week. Will probably get hit by the import duty though.

No import duty, Wolfe sent them as a gift. Will report back when fitted.

The Wolfetone P90's have absolutely blown me a way. They sound superb clean but with a bit of drive sound thick and fat, full of harmonics. Completely transformed the guitar.

  • +1 on the wolfetone, I had a meaner P90.

I like the crunch and bitey grind of an A5 but love the midrange classic rock of an A2 magnet so aaron (I believe is his name) Did my P90 with an A2 &A5 magnet, couldn't have been happier.

+1 as well for A2 magnets.

Really pleased to hear the guy is still doing his thing, I've been out of touch for a long time, but he is a great bloke, really passionate about pickups and knows his shit.  Say hi for me from the old LPF days if you're in touch with him :)

  • You know chaps, the Gibson ones aren't exactly awful...  They've been building them quite successfully for quite a while now.

Yes they’re good but there are a lot better out there.
