We just completed a large student project yesterday ( well very early this morning) and about 150 of them moved in today...with another 150 on Monday..its been a long an arduous process...

Its always a bit odd seeing the building site transform overnight into little homes for (mostly overseas)  kids all dead excited about the new place, parents dropping them off & carting all their stuff in.

I guess they dont appreciate that just a few weeks ago their rooms were bomb sites and the gym was a mud bath !

Well....thats some of the next generation ...

We ...are the electrical contractors, I am the project manager, we did a complete new Install including, 

Transformer, LV Panel , circa 400 fuseboards, generator, Fire alarm, Refuge, Data, TV, Lighning protection, Door Access.

its taken 9 months and been pretty hectic, the last 2 months has been 24/7 operation,

Roughly -

1000+ fire alarm devices
300+ cameras.
1800 data outlets.
350 TV points.
150 + Access control doors.

oh well....just got Selfridges Trafford to finish now !

I’m in Bristol - will check it out! Looks a lot nicer than the place i’m renting! Oh to be a student again! Mind you, my student digs in the mid 80’s were nothing like this!!!!

No !...things have moved up a gear in student accom.....
