Anyone else think this is reminiscent of an old style Jaguar dash board?

I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

  • The guitar weighs 12 lbs ...

At least 8 lbs of which is switches!

Hard to imagine that anyone would actually want all those switches or even what they could possibly be for!

  • The seller has been trying to flog that for some time now...Quelle surprise! :)

NB. It was originally up for a lot more £££, but has been gradually declining in asking price.

If you need lots of micro switches it would be decent value for spares....

I could not sit down and draw up a plan that can cover so many options on a guitar as to what all those switches can do

    Totally bizarre

It's a shame, because it's a nice looking guitar... for anyone who could lift it (Excalibur?)

I used to have one of those kits but I stupidly sold it a couple of years ago during a clear-out. The lesson is: never sell anything, but I think you know that, Harry.

    That poor guitar! :/
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I'm wondering if you could replace the extra 10 switches with LEDs.  Not to do anything, just to plug the holes and put on some kind of light show.

I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

  • I kinda like it in a perverse sort of way. Certainly a talking point if you turned up at a gig with that, shame the switches are disconnected but you could be vague when asked what they did. A friend of mine once had a Watkins Circuit 4 guitar which has a rather strange switching system. He said that although he could get some interesting sounds out of it he had a job remembering how he got them.

On one of the crossroads dvds J J Cale has a guitar that looks like it's got as many switches as that but not sure if it really is switches.

    Anyone know anything about that?
