Posting photos from Google photos

I don't know about the rest of you but I've never been able to successfully post a photo on here from google photos...until today!

Just discovered this useful tip so thought I should share it...

Open the photo you want to share in Google photos in a seperate browser window, resize the window so that the photo is the size you want it to appear on screen, right-click on it and select copy image address, paste that into a text editor and then simply add "-tmp.jpg" to the end of it. 

This will be a really long URL so use tinyurl to shorten it if you like and then paste the result into the image URL box here and voila...it finally works!

Just wondering if one also has to be signed into Google in the same browser session if you post a link to one of your photos. Then you might be able to see it yourself, but would other people also be able to see it? If not then you might have to actually share the picture publicly on Google Photos. It'll try it...who can see this?

@vasselmeyer - not me, all I see is a small grey "no entry" sign.  That's using Chrome on W10.

Open the photo, save to shared album. Go to shared album, open photo click on the right menu  - share and get link

Thought so. I was signed into Google so, because it's my photo, I can see it but no-one else can.
