I’ve got a 2017 PRS Bernie, that is one of the best guitars I’ve ever played out of the box. I started making upgrades to elevate it to another level entirely.
I firstly changed the tuners to some now discontinued Tonepros ones I had.
I then ordered an intonatable bridge with locking stude, from Schroeder Guitar Hardware in the US.
I felt the plastic on the pickup rings was a bit flimsy feeling, so ordered some better ones in a better suited colour, from crazyparts in Germany.
I fitted some nickel pickup covers as I’m not a fan of uncovered ones at all.
I then fitted some genuine PRS ‘lampshade’ knobs - stupidly expensive!
I got hold of some Wenge and some Ebony headstock veneer, and made up some backplates (Wenge, but it was hard to work with and the shape is ever so slightly off,) and a truss rod cover (Ebony, polished...came out brilliant.) Both of these are just oiled and I’m very pleased with them.
I then took the guitar for a fret dress and set up at Guitar Works, by tech Ian Allerton. I had a bone nut cut, and Switch Craft toggle and input jacks installed.

I don’t have a gambling problem, I’m winning, and winning is not a problem for me. That’s like saying that Iron Maiden have an awesomeness problem.
