So I saw these at the Crewe show today and tried them out...pleasantly surprised.
Its fair too say they dont seem to have the volume of a traditional acoustic, but they feel good, play well, intonation and tuning was spot on ( they have a standard truss rod)
I found the larger body to have the better volume obviously, but to play generally I found the arch back ( Ovation style) to be really good.
These are clearly not cheap, and talking to the guy typically take a couple of months to build each one, you can have a selection of pick up types as well.
All in all, a good guitar...will it take off...who knows, at circa £1k its a little risky to buy at the moment, if they could get it down to around £700 Id be in.

Different materials have to be the future. The ‘Richlite’ fingerboard on my Les Paul is as good as anything else and looks mint.
Spruce and rosewood on acoustics is all well and good, but I was reading a review of the new ‘Reimagined’ Martin OM in the mag and it was four grand.
Four grand.

the largest bodied one, it’s excellent and about £1200 from Thomann. To put it in context my other acoustic is a Martin hd28v.
The OM sounds like this, my WS isn't as bright and clangy.
