Well it's been a massive search to replace my beloved Lazy J20 (still for sale in the classifieds wink, wink). And here it is. I was offered one of these as a trade for the J20 but it didn't work out in the end. Well not exactly the same but it's equivalent the Matchless HC30r. Way above my comfortable price range I would normally be happy to pay if I was honest. However, thanks to @miserneil he put me in touch with a guy near to me who was selling this Badcat Black Cat 30r head and cab at a very good price. I was off work yesterday which was convenient as I was able to pop up to meet the seller and plug it in. Well that was that the rest is history. It sounds amazing and the loudest 30watt amp I've ever played through. I will have to use the half power setting mostly I feel, but my search for a high headroom amp has also been answered perfectly i.e. the full power setting.

Probably the most versatile amp I can think of tbh. It's a very different animal to what I'm used to but it's gonna be fun working it all out. I think it'll be endless to what I can coax out of it though. I'm still gonna miss the J20 though but I can't keep everything

I had one of those (wondering if it’s mine that may have passed through hands?). Did have beautiful clean tone. Never quite got on with the drive tones. Was a great platform at band volumes. Enjoy!

Thavks Adrian. I have to agree It was hell of s journey trying to find the amp for me but in the end the price won me over and thst lit logo
