knee timbre, how do I improve it?

So I'm sitting there playing away thinking, I can feel my guitar resonate through my knee, what if I isolated the guitar from my knee, would this remove some of the damping factor caused by my knee? What about speaker spikes? Or a lump of marble? Thoughts?

Old rave trick; put a paving slab on your lap, a Bmx inner tube on that, another paving slab on that, guitar goes on top.

IIIRC Stevie Ray Vaughan used to rest the headstock against a wall so he could hear it well enough back stage to tune up. Just reminded me of that.

Jeans, what of I hang a 5lb lead weight from under my chair, like a damping pendulum, I could attach it to the back of my leg.

Try not to touch the body when you pick the strings, and obviously use cotton buds to press the strings to the fretboard so you don't damp the neck with your thumb around the back.

To be honest you're barking up the wrong tree trying to isolate you need to enhance the resonance. If you're serious about good tone, you need amputation of respective leg and a wooden prosthesis, ideally tone wood and nitro finish to let it breathe.

I usually strap my guitar to my penis when I tune up. Sometimes someone else's penis.

Install a brass block on your knee instead of the cheap pot metal you have right now.

I wonder if you can change the value of your knee cap - 0.04uf?

I found replacing my knee caps with brass added a lot more zing to the tone.

I’m 4 stone lighter than I was at my heaviest - when my guitars rest against me, does it mean they sound thinner?
